Amy DesBrisay is a Toronto-based writer and tea enthusiast with a BA in History and Film from Dalhousie University. After years of working with teenagers as a sailing coach and high school teacher, Amy jumped ship to work with grown-ups at TIFF as a festival volunteer and assistant in the Filmmaker Lab. As a recent Television Writing and Producing student at Humber College, Amy expanded her writing portfolio to include one-hour dramas and short films. She also gained valuable experience doing script coverage for Scythia Films and as a crew member on several short films. When she’s not writing, Amy can be found on a sailboat reenacting Pirates of the Caribbean.
